(S1:E5) Board Talk: Fadzai Nyandoro: JCI Sandton Vice President Individual Development | Malala Yousafza | Denmark | JCI 2025

In the fifth Episode of Board Talk Season 1, powered by JCI Sandton, we are getting to know Fadzai Nyandoro. She is the 2025 JCI Sandton Vice President Individual Development and someone with amazing organizational leadership skills. Get to know the light side of this amazing professional and her 2025 vision for the organisation:

Sibusiso Nkosi: If you could have dinner with one leader in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Fadzai Nyandoro: It would be Malala Yousafzai. I admire her courage, resilience, and commitment to education and equality. She made it possible for young girls to go to school after the Taliban had banned girls from going to school.

Sibusiso Nkosi: If you were a “leadership superhero”, what powers would you have and why?

Fadzai Nyandoro: The ability to read minds. Being able to “hear” what people may not openly express would allow me to connect with them on a deeper level and create an environment of trust and understanding.

Sibusiso Nkosi: Which board member would you like to trade places with, and why (light hearted)?

Fadzai Nyandoro: I wouldn’t want to trade a place with anyone because I have always loved to work closely with members and understand them on a personal level; what they are looking for, what they are going through and their experiences in JCI and that is the position that I am in right now.

Sibusiso Nkosi: Out of the entire board, who is the best dresser and why?

Fadzai Nyandoro: VPP, Tshegofatso Mapaya. She is always dressed for the occasion and she understands the dress code.

Sibusiso Nkosi: If you could live in another place for a year outside South Africa, where would it be and why?

Fadzai Nyandoro: I would choose Denmark. It’s often ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world, and I’m drawn to its strong focus on work-life balance, social well-being, and overall quality of life.

Sibusiso Nkosi: Lastly, what are you looking to achieve in your tenure as a 2025 JCI Sandton Board member?

Fadzai Nyandoro: As a 2025 JCI Sandton Board member, my main goals would be focused on membership retention and ensuring that all members are happy, engaged, and feel valued within the organization.
