Working in corporate is not easy. In episode 3 of Talent Tales Season 1, the talent shares moments when they needed to tap into resilience in order to push through. This is the inspiration that we all need. This is what they had to share:

When I wanted to further my studies and pursue Systems Analysis, I applied for a bursary with my then employer and was denied funding because it was not within the scope of my position. I applied anyways and I enquired about a payment arrangement, to my surprise they had an installment option which allowed me to study and be able to pay an amount that I’m comfortable with. My resilience gave birth to my Business & Systems Analytics certificate from The University of Stellenbosch Business School.

As a dedicated administrative professional, I’ve navigated the challenges of diverse industries, including banking, finance, education, healthcare, and optics, with unwavering commitment and resilience. My journey began in 2008 at Nedbank as a BDO, where I laid the foundation for a remarkable career. I then took on roles at Thuthukani Finance and Old Mutual as a financial advisor, honing my skills in sales, customer service, and financial management.

I used to work as someone who sanitize hands at the door in 2020 at a dealership. I didn’t like it because some people were rude and arrogant. When the company needed another receptionist to help at reception area, they offered me the job and I become the face of the company plus a receptionist.
